Background
Leslie Cross is a seasoned criminal defense attorney known for her relentless advocacy and proven track record in the courtroom. She represents clients facing the full spectrum of criminal charges—from misdemeanor drug offenses to felony murder—and brings a strategic, client-centered approach to every case.
Leslie began her legal career at the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office, where she started as an intern in 2012 and ultimately served as a felony prosecutor until 2018. During her time there, she prosecuted hundreds of cases, gaining extensive trial experience and an in-depth understanding of how the government builds its cases.
Since transitioning into criminal defense, Leslie has successfully defended clients in a wide range of complex and high-stakes matters. She has received dismissals, no bills, and not guilty verdicts in both bench and jury trials. Her courtroom skill, combined with her ability to guide clients through an often overwhelming legal process, sets her apart in the field.
Leslie is a frequent speaker on Texas law, especially in the areas of self-defense and use-of-force, and is deeply committed to community education. She is also a founding member of the American Council of Second Amendment Lawyers, reflecting her commitment to protecting constitutional rights.

A native of Friendswood, Texas, Leslie earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Texas at Tyler and her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law. She has been licensed to practice in Texas since 2015.
